Farms and ranches across the province opened their gates for the first-ever Alberta Open Farm Days on August 24 and 25, 2013. Albertans came out to meet their rural neighbours to hear stories, see demonstrations, learn more about the farmers who grow their food and see what life is like on a farm. As well, some of Alberta's most talented chefs and rural communities hosted a memorable series of culinary events around the province using Alberta farm products.
